2024 ESB Apprenticeships
Applications for the 2024 ESB Electrical Apprenticeship Programme are open on the ESB website. Deadline for applications 12pm on Monday 8th April 2024. The selection process will involve aptitude tests and an interview.

IMPORTANT
- Please Note: Based on previous ESB competitions eligible candidates that apply will receive an invitation via email to complete online aptitude tests. They are then usually given a short window of time (usually limited to 3 or 5 days) to complete the tests.
- Anyone interested in our preparation course is thus advised to consider undertaking preparation before submitting an application.

Bus Éireann Apprenticeship
- Apprentices are trained to the highest possible technical standards and acquire, amongst many other skills the ability to maintain the various systems associated with modern public service vehicles.
- Candidates will be required to undertake aptitude tests as part of this apprenticeship competition. The Aer Lingus Apprenticeship is a 4-year programme in conjunction with SOLAS which allows successful apprentices to become fully qualified aircraft engineers once they have completed all phases.

Eligible candidates that submitted an application in the last recruitment campaign were required to undertake psychometric assessments / aptitude tests as part of the selection process. 2023 Irish Rail Apprenticeship Campaign
Irish Rail opened 2023 applications for their Apprenticeship Programme across four trades:
> Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
> Apprentice Fitter
> Apprentice Electrician
> Apprentice (OEM) Original Equipment Manufacturing
Deadline for applications 14th of May 2023.
Each candidate is usually required to undertake aptitude tests and the results will be used to compile a shortlist for interview purposes.

Eir Apprenticeship
2019 Apprenticeship Programme
Closing date for applications was 18th July 2019. (as per eir website)
Candidates needed to have:
- Leaving Certificate OR Equivalent, must have passed a minimum of 6 subjects (must include a pass in maths)
- Full driving licence on or before August 2019

This year, as part of the government’s National Apprenticeship programme eir have partnered with TU Dublin Tallaght and successful applicants will enjoy the benefits of a full college experience through TU Dublin Tallaght while studying for a Nationally Accredited Level 6 Higher Certificate in Telecommunications and Data Networks (Apprenticeship Programme).
