A New 2018 Garda Recruitment Campaign was launched by the Minister for Justice. The closing date for applications was 12 noon June 7th, 2018. It is expected that that there could be upwards of 5,000 applicants. According to the official sources it is anticipated that candidates will have to complete Part A - (Assessment Questionnaire) between 14th June -20th June 2018. Candidates who completed Part A will then need to complete Part B – (Aptitude Tests) and will have between the 27th June - 3rd July 2018 to complete the tests. Stage 1 of the Garda recruitment campaign will require applicants to complete a series of online aptitude tests and assessments. Over the past number of years, the aptitude tests have included verbal tests, logical reasoning tests and personality assessments. Stage 1 is highly competitive and there is a high failure rate.
