We are a private education company, who provide apprenticeship preparation courses which are specifically designed to prepare candidates for the recruitment process involved in apprenticeship competitions for companies in Ireland such as ESB, Bus Éireann, Iarnród Éireann, Aer Lingus and Atlantic Aviation Group among others. However, we are not affiliated with any of these companies and we are not involved in their recruitment processes nor do we deal in the placement or recruitment of apprentices.
What kind of Apprenticeship programmes are available?

What are the general requirements for most apprenticeship programmes?
Depending on the job or trade different entry requirements will apply. It is very important to check the eligibility requirements when you are applying for any position. Some common eligibility criteria can include: Be at least 16 years of age, Ordinary Level C / Higher Level D or higher in 5 subjects in the Junior Cert (or an approved equivalent such as QQI level 3/4). For apprenticeships that require a Leaving Certificate, an O6 / Ordinary Level D or higher in 5 subjects (or an approved equivalent) may be required.
Is there an age limit?
While most programmes require candidates to be over 16, some require candidates to be over 18. In most cases there is no upper age limit.
How long do apprenticeship programmes last?
Apprenticeships generally last for 4 years. However, as each programme varies, it is best to check this directly with the recruiter/organisation at the time of application.
Do you get paid during an apprenticeship?

What qualification can I expect to gain from an Apprenticeship programme?
Apprenticeship programmes generally lead to a QQI Level 6 qualification which is internationally recognised. For example, the ESB offers a QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate.
What is the application process?
Depending on the apprenticeship programme and the size of the employer there can be a number of stages including application forms, aptitude tests (for larger companies like the ESB) and interviews.
When do applications for the ESB Apprenticeships open?
