Terms & Conditions
By enrolling and participating in a Career Services preparation course (the “Course”) offered by Career Services – The Entrance Exam Experts (“us”, “we”, “our”), its servants, agents and/or affiliates, you indicate your understanding of, and your agreement to be bound by, the following terms and conditions:
1. General
1.1 All Course places are filled on a first-come-first-served basis, on receipt of full or deposit fee payment.
1.2 All Course fees must be paid in full before Course commencement date.
1.3 It is entirely the responsibility of you, the candidate, to ensure that you have applied correctly for your university/college course or any recruitment competition for your desired career.
1.4 It is entirely the responsibility of you, the candidate, to ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria set by the Public Appointments Service or any other authority relevant to your chosen career.
1.5 It is entirely the responsibility of you, the candidate, to ensure that you register or apply to the relevant body in regards your chosen career.
1.6 Career Services – The Entrance Exam Experts have no affiliation with the Public Appointments Service (PAS).
1.7 The content of our preparation course is based on the types of tests that have appeared in previous years. Our courses aim to give candidates the very best tuition with the information that is available at the time of the preparation course but obviously we can take no responsibility for any future changes that the PAS make to the exam or changes that are made to any other entrance exams we provide preparation courses for. In the unlikely event of any changes to an exam we will look after our customers by providing extra relevant study material.
1.8 Access to online resources and courses are campaign / exam year specific, therefore the duration of access to these will depend on the particular course. In general access will be available for a 6 month duration or the duration of the campaign stage / exam associated with the course, whichever comes first.
1.9 Course promo / coupon codes and discounts cannot be used retrospectively or in conjunction with each other
1.10 Where a candidate chooses to pay for one of our preparation courses in instalments, access to the course material will be given after the final payment has been received. Should the candidate change their mind during this time and decided not to proceed with preparation, they will be entitled to a full refund of any payments made, minus our administrative fee of €25.
2. Booking Cancellation
2.1 Course fees are non-refundable except where a Course fails to run or where the correct cancellation notice has been given.
2.2 Course fees are not refundable after commencement of the Course except as outlined herein.
2.3 If you need to cancel your participation in a day course session, you are required to notify us prior to Course commencement date. Cancellation within 4 weeks or more prior to the commencement of the course will receive a full refund minus a €25/£25 administration fee. Cancellation 2-4 weeks prior to the commencement of the course will receive a 50% refund. Cancellation 1-2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course will receive a 25% refund. No refund will be issued to cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the commencement of the course.
2.4 In the event of you, the candidate, wishing to switch your booking to an alternative date, every effort will be made on our behalf to accommodate your request. However, this will be subject to availability.
2.5 In the event that you do not attend a course you have booked and do not notify us in advance, you forfeit your fee and any opportunity to move your booking to a later date.
3. Course Cancellation
3.1 We reserve the right to cancel Courses in case of circumstances beyond our control (death, injury, extreme weather conditions etc.). Where a Course is cancelled prior to Course commencement date, Course fees paid will be refunded in full and/or every effort will be made to accommodate customers at a future date.
3.2 You will not be charged for any Course classes that are cancelled by us. However, you are responsible for ensuring that you attend the Course and you will not be refunded the cost of the Course that you are absent from.
3.3 In the event that the Covid -19 health crisis impacts on the delivery of any of our day courses we will have online contingency plans in place to ensure your preparation is delivered in an online classroom format.
3.4 Cancellation and refund policy for online courses: If you cancel the course booking within 14 calendar days of your order and before starting the course (accessing the online materials), you are entitled to a full refund minus our €25 administrative fee. This fee reflects the processing costs incurred during the transaction. Cancellations and refunds in circumstances outside this and/or following the expiry of the 14-day cancellation period, are subject to the terms and conditions set out in this Cancellation policy. The cancellation period will expire 14 days after the date of the order confirmation. Reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. If you access or start to use our services during the cancellation period (i.e. if you start the course during the 14-day cancellation period) and/or if you access the course materials via our virtual learning environment, no refund will be payable.
3.5 Accounts created for accessing our courses and services are strictly personal and non-transferable. Access to course materials is licensed exclusively to the original purchaser or the individual for whom the course was purchased. The resale or transfer of accounts via any platform is strictly prohibited. This ensures the integrity of the course content, protects user data, and maintains compliance with our licensing agreements.
4. Responsibility
4.1 We will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property.
4.2 Our total liability for claims arising from a contractual relationship with you in any way related to the Course shall be limited to the fees paid by you to us for that Course. In no event shall we be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, loss of earnings or profit.
4.3 You are responsible for any damage you may cause to persons or property while participating in a Course.
4.4 We reserve the right to change, without notice, the content, date, time or any other detail of a Course as a result of any political event, natural disaster, weather or any other event outside of the control of Career Services – The Entrance Exam Experts.
4.5: Purchasing our online preparation course entitles you to one user account. You are responsible for your personal account and are not entitled to share your account details. Your account will be blocked if the system detects logins from multiple IP addresses. This is a security feature to ensure that any individual’s account is not compromised and that our copyright material is not inappropriately shared with those who have not purchased a preparation course.
5. Governing Law
5.1 The terms and conditions shall for all purposes by governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
5.2 Any dispute arising out of or related to the terms and conditions shall be resolved amicably.
5.3 We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms and conditions will be uploaded to the website. You are advised to visit the website periodically to keep up to date with any changes in our terms and conditions. Any amendments will not affect purchases made prior to the change, except where explicitly agreed upon by the customer.
