UCAS and HPAT-Ulster

Applicants are selected for admission to the health science degree programmes at Ulster University based on Academic Results & HPAT® Scores. Both will be considered individually.

UCAS is the central organisation through which applications are processed for entry to higher education.  To apply for any of the Ulster University health science courses mentioned at the beginning of this booklet, candidates will have to make an application for their chosen course through the UCAS system and achieve the desired academic results for their course choice.

Candidates will also have to register for the HPAT-Ulster. Candidates will have to achieve a satisfactory HPAT®-Ulster score to gain entry to their desired course. The required HPAT®-Ulster score will be decided by each individual department. It will depend on several variables including the number of candidates that apply for a specific course, and the standard of the overall results of the students applying for a course. Ulster University do not release the 'cut off' HPAT®-Ulster scores to students.
